Privacy Policy
Last updated November 3, 2026
This policy explains what data about you is processed when you play Ketchup Strike (the “game”), use its online services and this website. We collect only what the game needs to work: matches, rating, progress and support replies. We do not sell data and we do not show ads.
1. Who processes the data
The data controller is Yury Potapov (an individual, Republic of Serbia), the developer and rights holder of the game (“we”). You can reach us through the support form; we reply to the e-mail you give. We process data under the Law on Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Serbia (Zakon o zaštiti podataka o ličnosti) and, for players in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. What data and why
| Data | Source | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| SteamID64 and Steam profile name | the Steam client when you enter online modes | your Siege account, matchmaking, rating, leaderboards, your name in matches |
| Steam authentication ticket | the Steam client | checking with Valve that you own the account; the ticket itself is not stored |
| Device secret (as a hash) | created by the game on your PC | the “one account, one device at a time” rule that stops account sharing |
| Match statistics | the game during a match | rating, calibration, hero mastery, daily quests, account level, tokens, recent match history, MVP |
| Match leaves, player reports, bans | the game and our moderation | fair play: leave penalties, reviewing reports, bans |
| IP address and technical request data | your PC or browser when it talks to our servers | delivering responses, abuse protection, fault diagnosis; kept in server logs |
| Support requests: name, e-mail, Steam profile, text, links | the website form | answering you, handing out keys, reviewing reports and bugs |
| Game settings (graphics, audio, controls) | the game | kept only on your PC, never sent to us |
Voice and text chat in matches run through Steam and the players' network. We do not record or store voice, and chat messages are not saved on our servers.
3. What we do not do
- we do not sell or rent out data;
- we use no ad networks or trackers and build no advertising profiles;
- we collect no payment data: the game is free, and any Steam purchases (should they appear) are handled by Valve;
- we make no automated decisions with legal effects on you; cheating bans are reviewed by a person.
4. Legal bases
- Performance of a contract: to provide the game's online modes under the Terms of Service (account, matches, rating, progress).
- Legitimate interests: fair play, protection against cheating and abuse, server security, logs.
- Your consent: support requests and key requests. You can withdraw it by asking us to delete the request.
- Legal obligations: where the law requires us to keep or disclose data.
5. Where and how long data is kept
Data is stored on our server in a data centre in Belgrade, Serbia. Only we have access; the admin panel is protected by a password and a second factor.
- account, rating, progress and statistics: while the account exists; erased within 30 days after deletion;
- server logs with IP addresses: for a limited time, as a rule no longer than 30 days;
- support requests: up to 12 months after the reply; key requests: while the key is tracked (until the game leaves Early Access);
- ban records: while the ban is active and 12 months more, so it cannot be dodged with a new account.
6. Who receives data
- Valve Corporation (Steam): authentication ticket checks, network connections and voice chat, under Valve's own policy.
- Our hosting provider stores data on our behalf and does not use it for itself.
- Telegram: notifications about new support requests reach us through a Telegram bot.
- Other players see your name, hero, match statistics and rating in the game.
- Public authorities, only when lawfully required.
Where data leaves Serbia or the EU (for example to Valve in the USA), it does so on standard contractual clauses or other mechanisms the law allows.
7. Your rights
You may: find out what data we hold about you; get a copy in a machine-readable format; correct inaccurate data; have it deleted (see Data deletion); restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent. Write through the support form with your Steam profile and we answer within 30 days. We may ask you to prove the account is yours.
If you believe we violate your rights, you can complain to a supervisory authority: in Serbia the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection (poverenik.rs), in the EU the data protection authority of your country.
8. Cookies on the website
The website sets one functional cookie, lang, which remembers your language for a year. There are no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies. The site's fonts load from Google Fonts, which lets Google see your IP address.
9. Children
The game is not meant for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you are a parent and think your child gave us data, write to us and we will delete it.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the current version. We will announce material changes on the website and in the game's Steam news. Questions go through the support form.
